Exams and Festivals
We offer two recitals a year for FREE as opportunities for our students to perform and work towards a goal. In addition to that, students can also register for exams and music festivals that happen throughout the year for additional opportunities to perform.
Music Exams:
Exams are a wonderful way to set goals and build confidence! There are two great options to choose from. Please feel free to talk to your teacher about working towards one of these.
A) Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM): A structured, nationally recognized curriculum offering practical and theory assessments across standard classical levels. You can find more information and details on the page below: https://www.rcmusic.com
B) Conservatory Canada: Offers flexible assessments in both Classical and Contemporary Idioms (pop, jazz, improvisation, and modern streams). Learn more about their flexible repertoire options and exam dates on the page below: https://conservatorycanada.ca
Winnipeg Music Festival:
An annual performing arts festival in Winnipeg that gives music students of all levels a supportive environment to perform before external adjudicators and receive valuable written feedback. Registration typically closes in November for the spring festival—explore full details below : https://www.winnipegmusicfestival.org/piano
Musical Theatre Summer Camp
We will be launching our 2027 camp in FEBRUARY
Experience the Magic of the Stage
We believe every child has a story to tell. Each week, our campers will dive into the wonderful world of musical theatre, exploring everything from character development and vocal technique to the creative magic behind the scenes. Your child will truly make the show their own by hand-crafting their very own props and costumes!
We invite you to join us on Friday afternoon from 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM for a special showcase. It is a heartwarming opportunity to witness the incredible growth, hard work, and confidence these young performers have developed in just one week.
(Please note: Spectator space is limited as we maintain a focused and supportive environment for our campers.)
Meet Your Instructor: Sarah Schellenberg
Our camp is led by the vibrant and passionate Sarah Schellenberg. A recent Bachelor of Music graduate and future educator, Sarah brings a deep love for musical theatre and five years of experience as a private instructor and choral leader to our studio.
As an active performer and chorister within the Manitoba arts community, Sarah’s expertise is matched only by her dedication to her students. Known for her warmth and encouraging teaching style, Sarah is beloved by colleagues and students alike. She is so excited to welcome your children this summer and help them find their voice on stage!
